On Wednesday 10th February the Nursery organised the first of its kind ‘Penalty Shoot-out Competition’, which although it’s primary objective was that of a fund-raising activity, the scope was also to encourage the more younger members into taking part in a nursery event with a competitive touch, while also bringing the parents of the various age-groups together for a fun activity.
Apart from the prizes for those who collected the most money and also those who actually won the shoot-out competition in their respective age group, the club also decided to give back part of the money collected to the participants in sporting-goods, and we can proudly say that the response was quite positive. In fact a total of 60 players took part in this event, with the categories of Under 12 and Under 8 bringing in the most players with 19 and 13 respectively.
The Executive Committee would like to thank all those persons involved in the organisation of the event, especially those persons who voluntarily assisted the nursery even though they have no connection with our club, the coaches and players, and hope that with the success of this first event the number of participants will increase for the next event.
